I have always liked Hundley and think he will continue to get better. I don't think this is fluky $#!+ at all.

I think he knows with Torrealba gone this is his time to snatch more PT. Hopefully he continues his good form. I'd be happy if he batted 260-280 the whole season as long as he kept his throwing % high and handles the pitchers well.

He might have improved but there is no reason to believe this isn't some kind of fluky sh*t, Hundley has never hit over 250 since he reached double a At 25 last year, after his injury problems were over, he hit very well. It is not unusal for catchers to develop later as hitters. They have a lot to learn on defense. Nick during September 2009 .323 .386 .565 .951 in 74 AB. Including the last week in August Nick hit .304 .354 .554 .908 in 99 PA. A lot of people thought he had a bad arm last year when they looked at his CS%. But he caught every one of Chris Young's games. About half the steals against him were in those games and Chris Young had no one caught stealing in 2009. Nick has improved his throwing some but the big difference is the pitchers.

I like Hundley as well. I didn't expect .300 but something in line with .260-.280 with his defense and we're golden. Add Torrealba to that mix and I like where we're at for C.

If salazar and stairs can play left according to buddy why not nick he couldn't be too much worse and is hitting right now . I still feel more confortable Torrealba behind the plate I found a stat on a site that the team has a 2.40 era with him behind the dish

I wouldn't mind seeing two catchers bats in the lineup at the same time. I am glad Bud is now, it seems, willing to pinch hit our bench catcher. He must have more faith in our emergency catcher this year. Having either one of our catchers on the bench ready to pinch hit is a good thing.
