Portland isn't bad this year, I know Utah sucks but I am just saying. Can't remember last time WCC had 3 solid basketball teams

Utah will be a great fit for the Pac 12.

For the 1st 2 MWC games, I guess it's safe to consider SDSU@TCU to be tougher than SDSU@Utah at this point?

We need to take everyone serious this year. With that said 17-0 for our home game with UNLV would be excelelnt !

The MWC is clearly better than The PAC 12 in basketball and they are not much better in football. If we got a good tv contract The MWC could be just as strong in football as well. Colorado and Utah are starting to look like pretty weak additions to The PAC 10/12. They should have taken a closer look at our Aztecs.

Portland is a good team. The only surprising part about that game is that they won by ONLY 9.

For the 1st 2 MWC games, I guess it's safe to consider SDSU@TCU to be tougher than SDSU@Utah at this point? Probably. But SLC is a tough place to play, regardless. The Yootz are truly awful this year. Their loss to the truly horrible USD proves it. Having said that, our record in SLC is something like 2-28, all-time (though I'm too lazy too look it up for accuracy.)

With Boise State and the old MWC I would take the MWC over the PAC 10. It is too bad that the BCS conferences screwed it up for us. Timing is everything. If the Aztecs had chosen Harbaugh instead of Long then maybe SDSU would have been considered as one of the latest additions. The important thing is that SDSU is good now and could be a dominate team in the new MWC. Hopefully they can follow the Boise State, TCU route.

I may be alone on this but I would love to see Utah dominate in the Pac 12 next year. Destroyed this year in the MWC of course, but their success in the Pac 12 will make our conference look better.

So, who cares about the Utes They are not the team to beat in the MWC, and haven't been since 6 years ago. They have do not have the top players, or coach they use to have, and are going thru a down stage. They still can be tough when we play them in Salt Lake. We have only won there 3 times in about thirty years of league play. Let them go to the Pac 10-12! Wise guys!

Maybe not a "team to beat", but did they did win the MWC tourney in 2009, and kept us out of the NCAA's. They have a good program there.

Washington at 10-3 looks like the only worthy Pac-12 team this year, and winning on the road at U$C and UCLAP this weekend shows a little something. Having said that, the Pac-12 has really taken a back seat to the MWC. Let's hope we and the other MWC big dance tournament teams get a chance to prove that in March.

San Diego is a vital recruiting base for those 2 schools.

For losing yet again. Dropping one to Portland. Mighty have fallen. Utah is a 6th place MWC team this year. What a TANK JOB of ruining a basketball program within a decade.
