If Indiana can handle the Buckeyes tonight and Notre Dame beats Syracuse tomorrow night, SDSU could be ranked # 4 on Monday.

I see Nova passing us as they beat #25 Temple last night. The Irish might pass us as well since they could beat #9 Georgetown and #5 Syracuse in the same week.

I think this is where we start hitting the glass ceiling. We could be passed by Villanova, and teams like Ohio State, might not be dropped far with a loss.

It'll be a dog fight to break into the very top tier. We need some East Coast love, and that ain't going to happen with the remainder of our sked. We'll start seeing some brand name one-loss teams blocking our path to glory. The only way we get into the top 2, 3 or 4 is to keep winning for the next month. Wins over Vegas, UNM and the Zoobs (the Zoobs in particular) are the only things the East Coast guys will recognize. That, and being undefeated. Our only shot at No. 1, 2 or 3 is to roll into the Zoob game undefeated and punk them at their place. That'll turn some heads. Otherwise, we'll spend the rest of the year bouncing between No. 5 and 15.

I don't think there is a glass ceiling... If I remember correctly, when St. Joe's (an A-10 school) had West and Nelson they were ranked number one in the country when they were something like 20-0

yea, doesn't really matter. We'll get through OOC on the national radar.

And small conf. teams like DePaul, Indiana St. and UNLV can all make it to No. 1 by not losing. Ever. Having said that, if we had UCLA on our jerseys, there's no doubt we'd be perched at No. 1 or No. 2 right now.
