Wilt Chamberlain
Bill Russell
Walt Bellamy
Zelmo Beatty
Nate Thurmond
Bob Lanier
Willis Reed
Lew Alcindor (Kareem)
Dave Cowens (early 70's)
I"ve been watching Howard for 3 years now. He is good, but IMO all the listed above are much better in almost every area (Wilt was even a better free throw shooter than Howard)

If you give alot of these on that list the resources of today, damn straight many of them are right there with him, or better.

They would also be playing against better players There haven't been a ton of good centers in this era as well, so I I don't agree with what you say. Especially since they would be on par with those other good players you mention since they would all be on an equal playing field in terms of resources.

Dwight Howard has no game beyond about 6 feet...he has no touch. The other centers listed were more skilled... just not as muscular.

Just as I was saying, they would be as muscular if they had the same resources that Dwight has nowadays. So give these 60's guys the muscle, as well as the already refined touch, and they definately hang with Howard, or better.

What a dumb statement, no one is as muscular than Dwight right now, how can you say anyone would be from back then?

How can you say not a one of them wouldn't be as muscular as Dwight. Even if they wouldn't be quite as muscular as DH, they sure as hell would much more powerful than they were in the 60's.

It seems as though Traholder believes that Howard is better than anyone that's not more muscular than him. His mucles get him more rebounds, and possible better defense, but that's about it.

Dwight Howard is so over rated.
Nate Thurmond would destroy him. Bill Russell would have him for dinner.

I'm a Magic fan and I could've gave you some names from the 70's 80's and 90's. He's the best center in the game today but no all time.

He's just not that good so it's sort of a silly argument. there are 90s, 80s centers better than him too hakeem, young shaq, ewing would eat his lunch too. It's a weak time for centers.
