I keep forgetting to bring this up, but am I the only one who thinks the "extravaganza" was, to be kind, amateurish? 4 year olds are always cute, but herding them is like herding cats.

It would have been better if they hadn't totally and completely screwed up the playing of the music. Felt bad for all those kids. It's really a thrill to perform for a crowd like that.

Yeah, hard to be judgmental when we didn't really get to see the real show because of screw ups.
That being said, 99.99999% of half-time shows are dumb anyway unless the bands are playing...and 70% of the time you can't hear them playing either....so I just go get beers and catch up with friends anyway...

It was a disaster. Somehow, the timing of the music was way off or never started. Then the fireworks started and wouldn't stop! I do feel bad for those kids, who no doubt rehearsed their butts off and never got to show their stuff. I think they were bringing them on after the game, but very few people were left in the stands by that time. Sad.

They started it up again after the post game awards calling it the "Post Game Halftime show". Awkward..

I don't know this for certain, however, since they could not practice on the field the evening before, they probably never got to do their routine with all participants....I gave them the benefit of the doubt and as far as I am concerned, marching bands are just fine.....

I felt bad for the performers, whoever was in charge of organizing all that stuff really screwed them over. Then again, they couldn't rehearse it.

It would have been better if they hadn't totally and completely screwed up the playing of the music. Felt bad for all those kids. It's really a thrill to perform for a crowd like that. I heard that they were all cloggers, and they brought them in from all over the West. I really felt bad for them, because they likely didn't get paid, but for a promise of an audience. When the fireworks started, I figured there was a problem. It was a giant screw up!

I couldn't believe how chaotic it was... Little kids dancing... Loud fireworks booming... Military people opening up flags on the field to honor the different branches of the military...
Even though I did feel bad for the kids... It did make me laugh at what a disaster it was...
