Board Drama

I find it some what humorous, interesting but mostly sad that grown ass men and women who all support, in one way or another, the same Univeristy can't get along in the end.

If you don't want to post or belong to the board anymore than just go away. Do you really need to be so self important and feel the need to start a thread regarding your departure? I mean seriously dude.

Stop complaing to the moderators. If you don't like the board than don't visit. If you can't engage with someone you dislike than don't. If you don't respond to those that bait they will eventually stop.

And lastly, threatning violence against someone on a message board is one of the funniest things...until it comes to fruition at an Aztec event. I have had my share of skirmishes but that was in highschool and college. If you are that stupid to challenge someone to a fight at a basketball game than I can't say anything more. Just be sure you know what you are doing and be careful not to choose the fight that you really didn't want.

The best thing is to just laugh at it, because it's not going away; certain personality types be they the aggressive/bully type or the narcissistic: messiah/martyr type won't allow it to, the topics might eventually change but the personality won't.

People don't want to be wrong especially when they sit behind a computer so they are defensive and throw insults out on top of this there are people that go to the same people to have there back like they are bed buddies that too is pretty funny

Ho humm. Different board. Same posters. Same drama.

Oh yea, brush rules, Long drools. Wonder if Craft would have succeeded with the same support given to Long and Hoke. Hoke seems to be the right guy but I want to see it on the field before I anoint him Saint Brady. I miss Aztec football tailgates when people actually showed up and partied. I miss crowding into the sports bar at halftime. MeCha and La Raza are racists. The sleeping giant needs to stop taking Ambien. All-white roadies are cool. Ambassadork deserved the title. Miss the old AztecJoe. How many B-leagues on how many different continents do our basketball grads play in? Waiting for the next NBA starter from SDSU. If you followed Aztec basketball between 1987-2008 then you know Fish has done the impossible. Excited to see the Franklins, X-man, and Rahon play with Leonard. Guards are in place...waiting to see what bigs Fish can land for 2011. Hate UCLA and BYU, but can't decide who I hate more. Title IX and CalNow blow but what can you do. Cody Smith, Brinton and Akili really hurt Tollner, along with a murder schedule, but in the end Tollner needed to be fired. The older I get the more I forgive HWNSNBS. Tony Gwynn hasn't got the job done, I still like him...no one really cares because it's baseball, and let he who has attended more than five games or can name more than three current players cast the first stone.

I'm sure I missed a few.

OK, we all know what the last two boards have been like.

We've all read the (seemingly endless) posts with a few people constantly attacking each other and getting into name calling (among other stuff).

Let's just all work together to put an end to that here. The last board was lightly moderated, leaving people to work out their own problems. We all know how well that worked out.

I've also been on boards that are moderated by people who seem to have gotten their training from the Gestapo - totalitarian, completely heavy handed moderating with little leeway or understanding.

I'm going to try to take the middle road approach. I'll let some stuff go, but when someone gets personal I will address it. We're all adults (well, most of us, anyway). Let's focus on the AZTECS, not each other.

I think the less said about the previous board drama (other than we don't like it and don't want it anymore), the better. So with that in mind I'm going to close this thread and move on.

If anyone has any concerns or questions or anything just PM me. I'll be glad to discuss any topic with you. If I'm ever wrong in my assessment of something just let me know.

I'll try to be as fair and evenhanded as possible (and so will William).
