Amazing how the =Perfesser manages to hi-jack a thread about Abercrombie and turn it into one about his secret love.... no doubt "jacking" himself all the while. But back to the subject. Bummer - live with it. Damn, guess I should admit that I somehow grew up in a rich family. Damn, guess that's what you want - liberals always come from rich families. Never occurs to you that some of us who grew up in working class families might figure it out and determine that Republican ass holes don't give a rat's ass about us. =Bob

I don't know where Obama was born, but I do know he WAS born. And I have photographic evidence to prove it. I don't want to dignify this post by any kind of statement. I do, however, think I see the start of the skinny little legs and arms along with a general family resemblance. ;D Dang me!

>>>I'll take an extension of the tax cut for the rich in exchange for START, an end to DADT and and extension of unemployment benefits. All this lame duck session showed for the right is they put concerns for the rich above anything and everything that matters to the middle class.<<<the =Perfesser
Well, =Perfesser, in this day and age $200K is hardly "rich".
As for START, I haven't enough knowledge of the details of the treaty to form an opinion. On the face of it, reducing the number of nukes is a good thing, provided the ones retained can be serviced to ensure reliability. Of course the devil is always in the details.
As for DADT, I have to smile when the lame duck Congress jettisoned a Clinton law while supporting an extension of a Bush law (tax rates).
And yet, no one really knows how the DADT repeal will work out. They didn't, to my knowlege, repeal Article 125 of the UCMJ...so anyone caught holding one in his mouth will be subject to a court-martial.
Besides, once it becomes understood by those who might prefer surf over turf that Bang-Kok is nothing more than a city in Asia, and a 21-inch Admiral is nothing more than a TV set, and when it becomes understood by those who prefer turf over surf that they can't all be assigned to Fort Dix, there probably won't be a big rush down to the recruiting office.

>>>You have this sense of entitlement that you don't believe others should have simply because you believe your job was somehow more difficult while having nothing to compare it to.
But please feel free to offer any sort of argument as to why you got retirement at age 38 while cops and fire-fighters have to work until age 50 before they can retire. Ain't like you ever did anything more than float on a boat. Ain't like you ever engaged in combat.<<<the =Perfesser
Well, Perfesser Eats-more-crow...
If you think he had such a swell deal, why didn't you hiako your sawn-off pudgy butt down to the recruiting office when you had the chance?
Never mind.
We know the answer.

On the DADT line, I got a quote sent to me from a senior enlisted Marine. It went something like this: When I joined up, being or acting gay was against the law. Now Obama has made it optional. I think I will retire before Obama makes it mandatory.

Just a sour little guy full of envy for something done by someone that he could never have accomplished. Sad little guy just can't get over his sorry circumstances.

Looks like Neil can't produce. He is doing more harm to Obama and giving more credence to the "Birthers" with his effort. xrl.us/bifkyo

Gov Abercrombie, Jan 2011: now let's see.....where ever did we put the darn birth certificate?
Gov Abercrombie, Oct 2012: Hey! Here it is!
Smell the coffee on this win; the Berfer kooks are being set up and if they don't just STFU NOW!, they'll take the Republican Party down with them.

I don't know how this will turn out, but Abercrobie is not smart enough to figure this out by himself.

Just a sour little guy full of envy for something done by someone that he could never have accomplished. Sad little guy just can't get over his sorry circumstances. 17 days walking 12 miles each day at China Lake Buckwheat. Come back and talk to me when you ever did that while you were floating on a boat doing some sort of supply crap. I'll give you a break - please tell us of anytime you've ever engaged in any sort of physical activity beyond a golf course. Please tell us when you ever engaged in any sort of field science that required you to get out, down and dirty instead of replacing vending machines once you had a guaranteed retirement at age 38. You really are quite pathetic. You've spent your entire life making it easy, never taking a chance, while denigrating those who have shown the courage to do what you've never had the balls to do. You spent your 20 floating on boats far away from harm's way, but what the Hell, that's the reason Navy dickwads are the most conservative of any service - ain't like you ever faced combat - ain't like you ever faced much of anything. =Bob

Why don't call a Navy SEAL a Navy dickwad Bob; that will be the last sailor you callout like that that. Most of them are very conservative too and they are the most elite force we got. Just like a typical lib you jump to generalizations and name calling in place of a solid argument.

You have to realize that =Bob has no idea about what he is saying. There are challenges in every assignment in the service that can not be understood unless you have lived it. The work day of the Chaplain's Yeoman has more challenge than anything =Bob has ever experienced. There is no eight hour work day for anyone at sea. Now I wonder if Neil will give up or pop some October surprise on us.
