Pretty close betwen Strasburg and Marshall for me.
Strasburg was everywhere in the news though. I even saw a guy in Seattle wearing a Strasburg jersey last summer.

Marshall helped fire up the team & instill confidence!
St. Don played DB at Udub long ago!

The title wouldn't let me write in as much as I did on the question itself. Coryell fits into the category of the question but not the subject.

None of this would have happened without Don. We would be a division II school.

Aztecbruce...great trip to Misseri...anyone else notice that Misseri LOST its bowel game by the same exact score of the cheatin', non-call, block in the back against the Aztecs?

I voted "other" for Brian Sipe. He's done a nice job as QB coach and has been a BIG factor in restoring some of the old traditions.

Marshall Faulk running away with it (54.8%), Strasburg, Gwynn, et all are not generating the love.

I vote for St. Don, qualifying as a "coach-alum" and smiling down from heaven upon the football program this season...

I have strong opinions about the tremendous worth to the Aztecs of all those guys, but settled on Coryell. No matter how this turns out, it is not a slight to anyone. Great Aztecs All. Had you put Mary Alice Hill on the list, we could have turned this into a food fight. Please don't point out that she was not a coach or a player. I will have to come after you with a banana cream pie in the kisser.

I voted for strassy - he got us more pub than all the rest combined in 2010.

I'd vote any one of us who's shown pride in their school and has represented it to the full extent. Go Aztecs!

In 2010, I'd vote Strasburg since he was thrice the big story in MLB: leading up to the draft, his initial starts and again when he got hurt. Nearly a year of free national publicity for SDSU.
Though it can't necessarily be measured, having the football team, in uniform, listening to the likes of: Fouts, Madden, Dryer, Gibbs, et al, speak about Coryell and what State was (and strives to be again) I believe clearly had a major impact on the 2010 football season.

I thought that those 2 would get more votes, but Marshall rules.
