WHY would the GOP want to screw the country?
Or the Dems? Or the Liberals? Or the Conservatives?
Nobody tries to screw the country. Everybody has different ideas about what to do and not to do to improve it. But one person's improvement is another person's screwing.

You are right that no one wants to "screw" the country. Politicians in general and Liberals for sure are just badly misguided. If you would read it you would see how wrong the author is and in fact how some of the things he thinks are bad are really good.
