It is college BB, injuries , classes, flu, road games, shooting, FT%, luck ... will wait for the invite before I would book it. Also important is what and where the team is seeded

We haven't even played a conference game yet! A little early for assumptions, methinks!

We haven't even played a conference game yet! A little early for assumptions, methinks! You got that right. This is a tough league, in case some people haven't noticed. I saw Colorado State looking pretty damn good the other night, and they aren't even part of the big three. Let's win the league and then say we're a lock for the tourney.

It is certainly a lot more fun being projected as a lock when the OOC is about to conclude, rather than one of the last teams left out. That is the point of the OOC season.
Now, we get to see if the team can rise to winning the MWC regular season. The first half of the season should tell the tale (along with health issues).

Now that we are a lock - why play any more games until the tournament? Now we can focus on the first tournament game and have 3 months of practice to prepare. Open practice to the general public since there will be no league games. Boy does that sound fun! Not to me! We are a lock when the NCAA selection committee picks us. Let's just play the season out and enjoy it.
