My New Year's resolution is to save enough money to fly back and see the Aztecs spank the Wolverines.
Anyone else planning a trip?

Will be there with the usual cast of degenerates. Will meet up with my college roomate- he is easy to spot at 6'8' 425#. Might have ONE beer.

I once had an Econ professor at State tell my class there are more drunk fans in attendance at Michigan games than total fans at Jack Murphy for an Aztec game. Since then, I've always wanted to see this phenomenon for myself. Perhaps 2011 is the year. Lol. I'll be sober when we spank 'em though.

We were making flight plans in the parking lot before the Poinsettia Bowl. We'll have about 5-6 guys heading in that direction!!

I was thinking the Army game would be a great one to attend, too. Supposed to be a great environment...

Agree with the above. I believe both the Army and Michigan games would be an epic trip!

If the Colts are home the same weekend we'll probably go. Already have the vacation time reserved at work. That's what we did with the Missouri game. Caught the Colt-Giant game the day after, Padre-Cardinal game the day before.
Just checked...Detroit Tigers are home to Baltimore that weekend.

"Big House"??
That over-glued, set of bleachers?
Ya know...there are too many yellow and blue colleges. After smacking the naval (oranges? 'thought for sure their colors would orange, having lived only in California) caddies and seeing another UC Regent required pee yellow and zoob blue uniform, it has gotten just too much to see the same, same, same...
Anyone bringing a large, "U.C. Ann Arbor" sign besides me?
Happy Aztec Man

We would love to do both. Visit Army on the weekend of the 10th anniversary of 9/11. Maybe we won't fly back on 9/11. Take that Monday off and fly back on 9/12.
Michigan has a nice campus and surrounding area. I can't remember the name of the deli on the outskirts of campus, but what a place that was!
With 110K fans in attendance, no wonder there are more inebriated people there than total fans at an Aztec home game.
I truly Hoke that Brady will be coaching us for that game!!!

We went to Michigan the last time they played (I think 6 years ago). We are going to the Army game at West Point, New York next year.

If anyone going to West Point has the time and has not seen fall colors, I'd recommend taking the train that goes from NYC to Montreal, although it doesn't stop at West Point but appears to come close: tinyurl.com/2fpz5s8Aside from the colors you get an amazing look at Lake Champlain, which is quite large. I think there is a station somewhat across the Hudson from and the ride would be from there to Plattsburg and then back. Or if you really like trains, you can catch Amtrak in Plattsburg, travel to Schenectady, which gives you the connection to the train to Chicago, then on to Smell-A and then home. But then again, I've been in love with trains my entire life and I know that most people don't care to take the time involved to ride them. =Bob
