Billy White is incredible around the glass on the offensive end and has had a few huge games for us this season, so where has he disappeared to?
He's averaging around 6 points and 3 rebounds per game over the last 5 games. This will not get the job done for us as the season progresses and into tournament time. I was at the SDSU vs Cal game and he seemed to get discouraged easily that game. We're a top 10 team with him competing on a high level along with our other players, however without him coming to play we're probably rounding out the top 20 in my opinion.
Any idea why he's slowed down recently?

I know he's gotten into foul trouble early a couple times (like IUPUI).

1 ball.
5 players.
40 minutes.
He's showing up to play but not everybody can average a double double. Relax

he seems to have his very highs and lows. Suprised he did not perform better at his home city this week. Important to get him involved in play early in each half and as you stated try to avoid the early fouls .

The guy is impeccable around the rim... regardless of 5 players, 40 minutes, 3 referees he should be putting up much greater numbers in his senior year. I don't expect him to average a double double but over 10 pts and 5 rebounds easily per game... what he's averaging over the last 5 games should be his lowest performance of the season.

Simply put... He is a great talent that gets into his own head some times. When his mental game is on, he is unstoppable, and so are we. But he's been having some bad things happen early in games, and he is letting it take too big a toll on him.
The good news is, he has still done some nice things defensively. But, for some reason he seems to be our barometer. when he struggles, it's harder on us. When he has a great game, it seems we ALWAYS do as a team as well.
He's gonna be our x factor...in those tough conf. games and I believe in the dance as well.

The only truly steady and consistent players are DG and MT. KL has been spectacular at times and he's also had some trying times. But he's just a soph and should stay one more year at least. I think BW, with reasonable expectations, thinks he should be one, if not the one to go to first. Not saying he's selfish, just hard for him when it doesn't flow though him. There is lots of competition for the rock whether on offense or the boards. He's a senior and needs to keep his head in the game and let the game come to him.

1 ball. 5 players. 40 minutes. He's showing up to play but not everybody can average a double double. Relax This is exactly why we're undefeated. The team is flowing because of teamwork and it's very entertaining. If guys get worried about personal stats then the team will unravel. Guaranteed.

I think it's about more than personal stats...also production. We're going to need more points and rebounds out of Billy White if we're going to make any sort of run in the tournament. He is the X factor.. plain and simple. Imagine us without him at Gonzaga.

Been the story of Billy White his entire career. It is what it is. Wholeheartedly agree with Tec. Carries the load some nights, not relevant others. We need him to step it up consistency-wise or there will be many nail-biters to come. I also agree with chop...we need the production, period...

You can tell by the first media timeout whether he'll go 20-10 or 6-4.
When he gets into a rhythm early, he can't be guarded.

His role is to get into an early groove and Steve Fisher should force the issue with him getting early touches (and hopefully get him going). In my opinion we have 6 "big time" D1 college players on this team.
