One thing that doesn't always show up on the stat sheet is Billy White's defense. In the UCSB game, I would occasionally just watch him play defense and he was an animal!
He is often the guy that creates the big runs/momentum, either by his defensive prowess or his dunks, etc. Over the years, he has had moments where he just disappears, but he seems more involved in just about every game this season.
As good as Kawhi and Malcolm are, Billy seems to be the spark plug of this team.

It's his senior year, he needs to make it count before he's gone forever.

Check out the comments, a "small Gonzaga Team". I noticed that too. You can't say anything bad about BW. He's an emotional player. He wants to do everything right. Like he did against Gonzaga, which if I'm not mistaken, started 2 7-footers; and, isn't Elia's Harris an All-American? Let the haters hate, Billy. Let your play and your team speak for itself.

Billy is an absolutely exciting player. He has been a blast to root for and I hope he continues to have a monster season through conference play with some big games in the NCAA tourney.

Monty, if its OK with you, I'm just going to quote your entire response to that whiner! You polished the floor with him. Enjoy fans...
"Tommy, spoken like a bitter UNLV fan still upset that Billy White spurned the Rebels. I wouldn't consider Gonzaga a small team. The Bulldogs start two 7-footers. Is that small in your book? As for our schedule, we couldn't get anyone to play us because opposing coaches were smart enough to know that we had tons of talent coming back. No one would schedule us, so we had to go ON THE ROAD for our first five games, and we have to play in that crappy tournament in Vegas tonight and tomorrow at South Point. Billy has matured plenty. He's got a ways to go. He might not make it in the NBA, but he will play somewhere. Don't be bitter that UNLV lost a couple, and especially that you lost to UCBS, a team that Aztecs handled easily and beat by 24. Remember, This group of of Aztecs OWN the Rebels. The Aztecs have made Thomas & Mack our House, and we will be singing that again at the MWC Tournament."
From the response section. Awesome!

Its about time Billy got some love! At 6'8, with length, athlecticism and explosivness, he is nightmare match-up! And, his quick fake and move to the basket is unstoppable.
But, its his on-the-ball Defense in half-court and the lead press- man in full-court is what saves the day for the Aztecs. His defensive effort on UCSB's Nunnally and Johnson was a work of art! Now, Billy is showing off his jumper. Add a little ball handling into the mix and Billy is playing for cash next year!
