I'm not sure which would be better....being sent to either Tulsa or Chicago and then come back to the Honda Center in Anaheim for the Sweet 16 (should they make it that far), or Tucson and then San Antonio......
On the one hand, having the chance to play in the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 so close to home would be ideal.......on the other hand the trip to Tucson is more manageable and we should be able to get better numbers out there for the 1st and 2nd rounds.
Pretty good dilemma to have, if you ask me.

That's a pretty good observation......I just looked at three different Bracketology sites, and they all have Tuscon going to three different places. CBS is the only one projecting Tucson sending teams to Anaheim. Tucson to Anaheim would be ridiculously fantastic!

We want a 2 seed in the West.

Remember that the top 4-5 seeds do get 'protected' geographic locations. Meaning we wouldn't play close to a teams home court. Also, if we are a 2 or 3 seed, we will be kept close to home (i.e. Tucson). To be honest, it may be worth making (non-binding) reservations for Tucson for the 1st/2nd round games.

aztecalum: If SDSU is a #2/#3 seed, is Tucson close to a lock for location? @aglock Andy Glockner Yes, since there aren't any top seeds in the area. @aglock Andy Glockner Tucson and Denver are likely the most "open" subregions, since most of the high seeds project elsewhere. He is the SI.COM writer that did this bracket/bubble watch
