I think if Rich Rod wins he stays. As ridiculous as it seems to me, the guys on Rivals Radio briefly said the same this morning. So Michigan's administration might actually think that one game will help them decide what three years of games hasn't? The Rivals guys also speculated that if Harbaugh doesn't take the job, Michigan might still offer it to Hoke. And BTW, they didn't say it but speculation has been growing that if Mike Singletary is shown the door, the Niners job will be offered to Harbaugh and he will unsurprisingly take it. Anyway, that would still mean that Hoke isn't leaving for Michigan without two other things first happening: (1) Michigan loses their bowl game; and (2) Mike Singletary is canned. So for those who want Brady to stay, better root for the Niners against the Rams on Sunday.

$#!+, the way things are going these days anything is possible. Hard to believe the UMaryland guy lost his job after going 8-4 and to a bowl.
If Harbaugh is offered the 49er job and authority is conditional, then he'd be a fool to accept. Their front office has hardly any experienced football guys and the team is run by a 27 year kid. Good luck with that.
I say Michigan, he'll be available if you can Rich Rod.

Here you go:
We know there's nothing to any of the chatter about Rich Rodriguez staying or going until athletic director Dave Brandon has his final say after Michigan's bowl game.
Numerous scouting services agree that the decision by Brandon to wait until January to make an official announcement will most certainly hurt recruiting, especially those offensive players who want to be in Rich Rod's type of system.
So the longer Brandon waits the more the rumors about who could become the next Michigan head man will swirl. It's widely known that San Diego State coach Brady Hoke made officials aware when he was hired that his dream job would be in Ann Arbor. And Austin American-Statesman columnist Kirk Bohls call it a "crazy" prediction, but he says Hoke is simply waiting to take the job after opting not to speak with Pitt about it's opening.

Would Michigan really hire a guy with three winning seasons out of about 10? I don't know.

Would Michigan really hire a guy with three winning seasons out of about 10? I don't know. They would if they were smart enough to evaluate the situations existing at the schools said candidate found upon his arrival. Anyone could become head coach at Ohio State or USC and win more than he lost. Sign up at Ball State just about any year and SDSU in 2009 and not just anyone could show progress. That's the difference. WLR

Why, because it sells to viewers, and keeps them in the eye of the people interested in news like that. Even if it does not make sense, or has little or no truth it still creates interest. That's what the media is all about creating interest. You get it now?
