I feel like I've seen this thread a lot now and I get annoyed every time.
Its very rare that any arena that is completely sold out will look that way at any one glance.
Here are some of the reasons and maybe we can put this to rest.
1.)People have lives, jobs, conflicts, sicknesses, priorities, problems that prevent them from attending even if they have a ticket. Its not like seats are 100 bucks like charger games. You aren't eating that much doh by not going.
2.) Scalpers have tickets they don't sell.
3.) People don't sit in their assigned seats. Either they sit with friends in other places, like GA, or, as has been the case for almost every game, students buy GA seats or they buy guest seats with the student purchase and then they stand in the student section, which doesn't necessarily need a person for every seat.
4.) People arrive late, it gets more full as the game goes on.
5.) People are at concession stands, or in the bathroom, or leading cheers on the concrete without an approved permit from the AD (just kidding)
I don't get why people care so much. Is it harder to enjoy the game if there are 100 empty seats? I don't understand the commotion about this issue every week.
