Drew Gordon will play his first game for the Lobos tonight vs. Citadel. They went 8-1 without him and he has 8 games to settle himself in the rotation before we visit the Pit.
The top 4 teams in the MWC are a combined 40-4. Conference play should be a battle.

Didn't UNM also have another guy who had to sit out for the first several games? Or is it just Gordon?

It will be interesting to see if he starts immediately or if they ease him into the lineup? Everything I have read suggests he was that he was tearing it up in practice all summer and should play big minutes right away.
NM is getting solid play from it's newcomers Negedu (5pts 6rbs) and Kirk (6pts 5rbs) .. but G Kendall Williams has jumped into the starting lineup and is averaging (12pts 3rbs 4asst) playing more than 26 mins per game. This will be a very solid team, and likely better than UNLV and BYU?

I don't want BYU losing OOC either, but in conference everyone need to just destroy them.
