most of us in the Show probably aren't blasting Muse in our cars down the 8 freeway. we invented the tradition last year at the MWC tourney in Vegas as we belted it out so all the opposing fans could hear. It was extra awesome cuz we were outnumbered. so basically.. we sing it because the lyrics fit so perfectly. If it didn't end in "WE WILL BE VICTORIOUS", we wouldn't sing it. It's not cuz we want to be cool and show that we are fans of a random Muse song. Quoted for truth.

thats not what its about dude. I wish you would see that. I dont like muse much either. Its not Muse playing this song, its the sdsu student section. So by you saying that you hate Muse, you are being quite off topic and irrelevant.

Don't waist hate on a song when it needs to be directed at BYU. So when we play BYU next year in a Bowl game we draw 70,000 fans? Now that would be the time to hate.

I'm beginning to find more to like about BYU than the systematic geriatric takeover of this board.

There's nothing anyone can do to this board that can even begin to match the wickedness of that cult school.

Alright, we can have a discussion without getting personal. Let's not make it about each other - let's keep the comments to the topic at hand.

stay on sports topics not individuals- could you also do the chant at the start of the second half, for those of us who have to wait in line to park- also communicate with the folks who run the V- Board to get words up there- should also use the board to assist the cheer leaders

As noted in other discussion like the aforementioned, I'm a fan of anything that adds positively to the game atmosphere.
If you think something is stupid ... don't participate. You'll fit right in with the 50% who don't do half the stuff anyway (and then complain about it on the message board later).
My only comment as far as participatory things goes is moving the "I believe..." to the time between "STEEEEEEEEVE FISHERRRRRR" and the tip.
That minute it takes to get the players on the court for the tip is perfect since people are already starting to get up (physically and emotionally) for the tip and by the time the ball went up, at least half the crowd would be up, bouncing and enthusiastically shouting, "I BELIEVE THAT WE WILL WIN!!!"
At the 12 minute mark, with only 20% of people in the arena, it seems to get people amped-up, just to settle back down until player intros 11 minutes later.
...just my $.02

My .02 cents.
The PA and piped in music have to much control over the situation.
The student section should be a spontaneous emotional act. That is what create true excitement at games.
The student section should not be "told when" they should do certain things.
It is their school, their game, and they should do "I Believe" and "Victorious" whenever THEY want to and as many times as they want to. All they would have to do is co-ordinate with the pep band.
Spontaneous excitement is what makes college sports (and sports in general) so great. Not planned excitement.
Let the PA guy announce when he has a chance to get something in. Let the fans enjoy the game and have fun.

I just really can't stand that band. And yes, I felt the need to share.
