Do we not trust the DB’s to play zero?
Schematically, we are lost. I don’t care if it is triple option or read option or any other option, you need to read your keys.
You don’t charge the pitchman on the edge and let the ball holder keep the ball.
It’s that simple, inside out. Own the middle, force everything wide and pursue inside out.
Why 44 is chasing a man without the ball as a Mike linebacker is crazy. Force it wide.
And for the live of GOD, have the DB’s play inside technique and jam at the line. Enough with the 10 yard cushion.

I honestly feel like half of us on this board could call better plays and use better judgement with personnel/substitutions than Lewis. I'm not exaggerating when I say he's the worst coach I can remember on our sidelines. I guess Chuck Long was bad too but I don't remember it that clearly Chuck at least had Del Miller, he wasnt calling the plays. Lewis on the other hand... |

O'Neil does not only have a weak arm but he is kind of slow for a PRO QB and his decision making is not that quick either.

O'Neil does not only have a weak arm but he is kind of slow for a PRO QB and his decision making is not that quick either. He's Too SMALL also!!! He's listed as 6'-0", but he's more like 5'-10.5". The majority of QB'S are at least a legit 6"-2". It's not his fault, but this isn't HS FB in Indiana where players in HS are a lot smaller and he can see over the lines. |
