I know it’s 3rd and long but I’m going to catch Utah State off guard and throw a pass 2 yards behind the line of scrimmage to a backup running back I have no faith in.

When you empty the backfield and the QB cant run, the line pins their ears back and everyone plays the pass.
A traditional screen would have been a better call than that.
I am not a fan of modern offenses, so take all my criticisms with a grain of salt. It slightly angers me that I have to watch this offense, even if we were winning which we are not.

All of the self professed football experts wanted an offensive guru head coach. The problem is, EVERYONE ELSE RUNS THE SAME BASIC RPO OFFENSE. Wyoming, Colorado St, Utah St., New Mexico, Boise St, Cal, along with most of the other Div 1 schools. At least Rocky’s power run philosophy was fairly unique and needed to be prepared for.

Coach Lewis is as bad a game day coach as Chuck Long was. That time out cost us the lead and probably the game.
This can't be fixed with recruiting.

I honestly feel like half of us on this board could call better plays and use better judgement with personnel/substitutions than Lewis. I'm not exaggerating when I say he's the worst coach I can remember on our sidelines. I guess Chuck Long might've been worse but I don't remember it that clearly
