I get the lower case. Both are low-life, scum-bag, slime-balls. There's one religion that I always use lower case.

Why do you consistently support people that aren't good human beings? Ted Cruz is the embodiment of what's wrong with today's Republican Party. He's nothing but a coward who bent the knee to Donald Trump after previously lambasting him. These hearings are nothing more than partisan political theater - Ted Cruz serves in Congress, the body of government who has responsibility for passing laws that would alleviate the "crisis" at the border. He's probably too busy fleeing his state during deadly storms, though, to do anything about it.
