He has been the focus of some heat. Not him per se, but how he has been utilized. At the beginning of the season, he was not very good at picking up the blitzer. It was a combination of not recognizing the blitz to sometimes not blocking very well even if he did identify the blitzer.

Against UNLV in particular but he has been progressing all season, he picked up some nasty blitzes. And When I say picked up, he didn't catch anyone, he met them in the hole with force.

A big hat tip to Cooper for something that doesn't show up on the stat sheet but is essential to playing good football.

He isn’t a YAC back and this thread was recognizing that his pass protection and blitz pick ups have greatly improved.
