I watched Gonzaga dismantle Baylor and out-tough a tough ASU team. They are legit. I am NOT optimistic with our chances tonight, especially w/o Waters and potentially Byrd. Gonzaga probably wants this game really badly, which makes it less likely that we win outright. If Gonzaga loses, it will likely be due to defensive pressure forcing turnovers + transition buckets. In my many years of playing sports, I only wish that my or my team's "wanting" to win a game had any influence on actually winning the game. Christ, I never would have lost.  |

Looking at the bright side, for better or for worse, this is the only college basketball game worth watching tonight. Jon Rothstein and many other college hoops prognosticators will see us for who we are tonight.

This is very surprising. This is the least confident I’ve ever felt in our ability to win a home game in maybe forever. Agreed. We have a lot of very young players and new players to our program competing with a very experienced Gonzaga ranked #3 and likely a Final 4 team. We have very good players but there are too many unknowns. I was very happy that we beat UCLA in the scrimmage, showing we are very competitive, but when UCLA lost to NM they fell out of the rankings and are not even getting any votes. Gonzaga blew out Baylor by 38 and then Baylor turned around and beat #16 Arkansas. We have our hands full with the Gonzaga team. I am hoping for a competitive game, even with all the unknowns of our new line up. The crowd will be a big help. I don't want another game like Gonzaga had with Baylor. Overall, I agree. I come into every home game expecting a victory. That is a tall order tonight but anything is possible with Dutcher's teams. |

If we were to pull out a win tonight with Gonzaga, we would immediately be back in the top 25. We are not getting any votes because of our lack of returning players and so many unknowns.

We just couldn't get enough out of any of our bigs and their's are a nightmare to guard. Our threes were not falling and all the injuries were just too much to make-up
against a very good Gonzaga team. They looked final four good to me. Our talent is still very young but one can't help but seeing the potential of a solid powerhouse
sometime down the road. I can't imagine that we will see a better team anytime this year. Good effort by our young guys - they showed up and certainly did not embarrass
themselves. But losing in basketball (especially at home) is not something any of us are comfortable with and it's just hard to deal with. On to the next game and a
team of human players. GO AZTECS!!
