Parrish is averaging 10.3 PPG, 4.7 RPG, 2.7 APG and shooting 41%, 25% from three and 60% from the line, Ohio St 2-1 Texas Univ: 30 min, 5-11 fg, 3-6 3fg, 0-0 ft, 6 reb, 5 ast, 0 blk, 0 stl, 17 pts Ygn'twn St: 24 min, 2-6 fg, 0-0 3fg, 0-1 ft, 5 reb, 2 ast, 0 blk, 1 stl, 4 pts Texas A&M: 27 min, 4-10 fg, 0-6 3fg, 2-4 ft, 3 reb, 1 ast, 0 blk, 3 stl, 10 pts Butler is averaging 9.7 PPG, 3.0 RPG, 3.4 APG and shooting 42.3%, 16.7% from three and 66.7% from the line, Kentucky 3-0 Wright St: 22 min, 6-12 fg, 1-3 3fg, 2-3 ft, 5 reb, 5 ast, 1 blk, 3 stl, 14 pts Bucknell: 19 min, 2-6 fg, 0-1 3fg, 2-2 ft, 1 reb, 1 ast, 0 blk, 0 stl, 6 pts Duke Univ: 24 min, 3-8 fg, 1-3 3fg, 2-4 ft, 3 reb, 4 ast, 0 blk, 0 stl, 9 pts The only thing that's important to me about Butler's shooting now is that, for his career, he's 1 for1 in Final Four games with under 1 second left on the clock.

You won't find much argument on that point. The other thing about Butler's stat line is what you don't see, and that's his defense. Even without steals vs Duke, I read that he made a key defensive play down the stretch that helped Kentucky win, something familiar to us.

Saunders got 5 points last night but if memory serves he scored 16 with a couple of threes in a game earlier in the week. He's giving UVa what they want, I guess. I think we'll be better off with Pharaoh-Pharaoh in the long run for what we need. Unless the NIL improves, we will be fortunate to have him beyond next season. Is it me, or has the quality of Dutches recruits dramatically improved since covid ? Freshmen in 20-21: Butler, Dinwiddie, Che Evans, plus transfer Terrell Gomez. Freshman in 21-22: Demarshay, plus transfers Matt Bradley, Jaden LeDee, Chad Baker-Mazzara and Joshua Tomaic Freshmen in 22-23: Byrd and Saunders, transfers Parrish and Trammell Freshmen in 23-24: BJ Davis, Magoon Gwath and Miles Heidi, transfers Jay Pal and Reese Waters Freshmen in 24-25: Pharaoh-Pharaoh, Taj Degourville and Thokbor Majak, transfers Jared Coleman-Jones, Nick Boyd, Wayne McKinney and Kimo Ferrari My interpretation is a clear upturn in freshman recruiting, possibly stemming from excitement from the 30-2 season and continued with the Final Four appearance. Outside of Nick Boyd, I'd say we're trending slightly downward in the transfer market, where more kids might be seeking a payday. If those trends continue, the key to future success will be keeping our high school recruits here, not in pursuing future free agents, and we should prioritize accordingly.

agree
with the NIL money craziness and no sit Transfer rule it has made it much more difficult for Dutcher to recruit players -

agree with the NIL money craziness and no sit Transfer rule it has made it much more difficult for Dutcher to recruit players - Hence the $1,000,000 the 2024 Players Era Festival, a college basketball showcase and NIL (name, image, and likeness) event, in Las Vegas: When: Thanksgiving week, November 26–30, 2024 Where: MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas Format: Two four-team multi-team events (MTEs), with SDSU in the Power MTE Opponents: Creighton, Oregon, and Texas A&M Games: SDSU will play three games in a round-robin format against the other three teams in its MTE With NIL opportunities and athletes on participating teams will have the opportunity to engage in over $1 Million in NIL activities, which I assume to be $1M payout to each school. Can we get 3 wins, or 2 wins, 1 win, we have looked good so far, I don't think we will be shutout, but need Myles Byrd back, ASAP!

This topic is dumb. These guys left for money. They are gone they are not coming back. Focus on the actual team.

Same with his FTs, (66%) vs last year (59%). Yes he hit the biggest shot in our history but in general he wasn't a reliable shot. As a playmaker, a 2-to-1 Assist to TO average is also who he is. With the studs Kentucky has, he should get more assists this year. Over his 5 college years, his FT% is a very wobbly 67.4% and his 3-pt average is 31.8%. He is who he is. Unless he makes a Kawhi-like shooting transformation, his pro prospects are not great.

I thought it's broken down to what year in the program you are or has that changed now and it's based on what year you are? I remember when it first got legal, everyone got the same : a couple thousand a month. Don't know what the process looks like now.
