Malachi tore it up tonight with 35 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds and 3 steals as his Austin Spurs won 128-117. Nate Mensah, also a Spur, played 17 minutes and had 8 rebounds( including 5 Off), 1 assist, 2 blocks and 6 pts.
Schakel played 32 minutes for the Maine (Celtics) team and was 2-6 from 3 for 8 pts.

Malachi is a bonafide NBA starter on a bad team. He just hasnt been given the opportunity to show it for long periods of time. |

He also had 2 TOs and 5 fouls as his Sioux Falls team (Miami Heat) lost in OT 121-118. They played Jaedon LeDee's team the Iowa Wolves (Minnesota Timberwolves). Jaedon came off the bench but had 9 points, 8 rebs, 2 steals and a block. He also had 4 fouls and 2 TOs. |

Thanks for the update on our Aztecs. Be cool to see them play the SD Clippers at the new Oceanside arena. Please give a heads up if anyone hears that happening soon.

Another good game for Malachi today: In 35 minutes he had 28 pts (6-15 from 3), 4 rebs, 7 assists and 3 TOs. They won 122-120.
In 18 minutes Nate Mensah had 4 pts, 8 rebs, 2 assists and 3 blocks. Another good game for him too.
There are a lot of injured Centers around the NBA now. Not sure what kind of contract Nate is on but he's got Wemby and a 6'10" kid from Western Kentucky in front of him so I doubt he's getting called up there unless someone gets hurt.
None of the Aztecs are on a two-way contract with their individual team so they're all signed with the G League instead of NBA teams. They get a minimum of $40,500 for 6 months unless they've got more years of experience or they get called up.
