First off, Liz Cheney is ten times smarter than Trump. Second, suggesting that she should be killed is reprehensible. Then he wants General Milley killed because he was, "Disloyal." Unreal. Late Friday night, the former president of the United States—and a leading candidate to be the next president—insinuated that America’s top general deserves to be put to death. That extraordinary sentence would be unthinkable in any other rich democracy. But Donald Trump, on his social-media network, Truth Social, wrote that Mark Milley’s phone call to reassure China in the aftermath of the storming of the Capitol on January 6, 2021, was “an act so egregious that, in times gone by, the punishment would have been DEATH.” (The phone call was, in fact, explicitly authorized by Trump-administration officials.) Trump’s threats against Milley came after The Atlantic’s publication of a profile of Milley, by this magazine’s editor in chief Jeffrey Goldberg, who detailed the ways in which Milley attempted to protect the Constitution from Trump. And yet, none of the nation’s front pages blared “Trump Suggests That Top General Deserves Execution” or “Former President Accuses General of Treason.” Instead, the post barely made the news. Most Americans who don’t follow Trump on social media probably don’t even know it happened. Trump’s rhetoric is dangerous, not just because it is the exact sort that incites violence against public officials but also because it shows just how numb the country has grown toward threats more typical of broken, authoritarian regimes. The United States is not just careening toward a significant risk of political violence around the 2024 presidential election. It’s also mostly oblivious to where it’s headed. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2023/09/trump-milley-execution-incitement-violence/675435/Anyone who votes for Trump IS a fascist supporter and doesn't care about Freedom, liberty, or the United States Constitution. Trump is an autocrat, a wannabe dictator, and a menace to decency.

Maybe she wouldn't be so quick to want to go to war. He wasn't saying that he wanted her shot. Trump opens himself up for the twisting though, that's for sure.

There is always a liberal media broadcaster ready to interpret any controversial Joe Biden or Kamala Harris gaffes or statements. Trump probably deserves something like that.
I believe in the entire context of this interview, Trump is stating he does not lightly send our troops into combat. Unlike Liz Cheney, who regards our military units as chess pieces, ready to be sacrificed at a moment’s notice. Perhaps if she has ever been shot at her perspective may be a little different. Although with her Dad around, one can never be too certain.😀
If you are hoping this is somehow going to move the needle in the election, I would suggest you guess again. Much of the country has already voted. The people who are going to pay attention to this statement watch the “Liberal Democrat” networks and will be voting for Kamala Harris anyway.
Biden, Clinton, Walz and Kamala have all given us a load of gaffes in the past week.

Millions and millions of people have not voted yet. But, like you've said recently, most people have made their choice and what is going on, won't move the needle. That's not a universal application, as much as you want to excuse the behavior.

Of course, you need to throw a snide remark in there. Have at it. I'm game. It's your application, unless you've changed your tune, again. As much as you want ANYTHING and EVERYTHING negative to stick against Trump, it's actually needless since he's already done plenty to damage his reputation without some people reaching to try and create more. It just sounds/looks desperate, unfortunately.

Kamala Harris in Phoenix Az:
“I have fought for many, who have harmed others.”
To be fair to both candidates, they have both been at it for months, (Trump a few weeks more) so I guess we can excuse an epic teleprompter fail.

I listened to his words, first of all, and then verified my thoughts, not from news sources, and like any rational person would deduce, he wasn't saying that she should be shot. Your Inspector Clouseau moment has failed you again, unfortunately. Do you believe he was saying that she should be shot?

Additionally, acting like you are clinically insane, is not helpful for public confidence or stability. He, with Bannon et al, appear to strive for instability and "blowing up the system"..pour $#!+ into the theater. For the common citizen, instability is very unsettling. These guys would be like Nero, watching it all burn down for their own enjoyment. America is not perfect, but it works a lot better than these guys are saying.

I definitely agree that he has said things unbecoming of a president, or a future president, that's for sure. And that's the point of this thread. The far right of his following will take his statements as a call to arms, literally. He is inciting violence and, possibly, murder. Intentionally, knowingly, or not - he is inciting it. Anyone like that should be nowhere near the White House. He, himself, is unstable and volatile. He is unfit to serve in Government in any capacity, let alone as President.
