Up the Wazzu: 3 Keys for San Diego State to pull the upset on Washington State.

We just all watched winless Kennesaw State beat undefeated Liberty on National TV last night. So there is no excuse for our Aztecs not to play lights out on homecoming against a tough 6-1 Washington State team. If they plan on doing so, here are 3 keys to keep an eye on in the game.

You left out the possibility of Wazzus top players entering the portal right before kickoff.

That's the only way I see the Aztecs winning. Even if State plays their best game and Wazzu their worst, we can't beat them. The talent and Coaching disparity is wide.

Win the TO battle and that happens if the interior lineman can control the A and B gaps as well as adding to the pressure.

Wazzu has a long history and tradition of choking in games and during seasons they're doing well in down the stretch much like the Aztecs did during those few decades. They call it Couging like we called it pulling a Trakas

Our best hope is if they find a way to Coug the game

Games are usually won at the LOS and, so far, the Aztecs haven’t shown the ability to do that, unfortunately!!!

Wazzu has one of the worst defenses in the country. If our D mans up and creates a couple of turnovers and we stop running inside zone over and over we can win the game.
