It really is startling that no one has a RB carry except Cooper. Not one! How the hell can those stupid reporters not be grilling Lewis on that more?

When his running average goes below 4.0 YPC he'll need to insert another RB. Tonight he was below that average. As a result we had too many long 2nd and 3rd downs. We won't get away with it when we play the better teams. |

Did Cooper have a bad game? 30 carries for 109 for a 3.6 avg. Take away his long of 31 yards and he averaged ONLY 2.7 yards a carry, that is NOT good especially from the current leading NCAA rushing total RB coming into this season. If L. Sutton (four carries all year), J. Armstead and Cam Davis (one carry all year) redshirted, Lewis would have zero backs but an injured K. Christon. |

I think Cooper is excellent but also think the other backs should get some carries. As many have said Cooper would be better with some rest during the game. Also a bigger back would be better in the red zone particularly inside the 10. You also have to wonder what morale is like like the running backs room ? We have some really good backs who work hard all week knowing they will never get a carry . Cooper is only here this year. I think Lucky Sutton could be really good but he would be crazy not to transfer.
