If Hawaii was no longer in the MW, I imagine that would get renegotiated rather quickly.

A news report by the Action Network that Gonzaga had agreed to join the Pac-12 was premature, according to multiple sources, with one noting the key financial details had not been worked out. Couple of things to consider. USU's acceptance to join the Pac weakened the MWC's member retention plan. Let's also not forget that they must dedicate more mney to their athletics. IMO that means adding Olympic sports that ALL members will compete in. That could very well be the reason UNLV was not picked. They're losing money, they're broke.

Very sadly, that is undoubtedly true.  As a minimum all the remaining Texas teams are behind, University of Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Houston, Baylor and even TCU.
