Updates on the SDSU Mens Basketball team per Mark Zeigler

Closed Controlled scrimmage will be 10/20 AT UCLA - not open to the public

Some tough OCC game with back to back to back opponents with projected ratings per Bart Tovick Zags #8 - Creighton #13 - Texas A & M #21 Ducks 44 and later toss in CAL 108 -

Nick Boyd has been in a Boot all summer - for a badly sprained ankle - remains in one through September - Boyd is expected to "quarterback" the "revamped offense" fortunately he is an experienced player - so in his absence from playing other have had more reps .

Aztecs may have at least 3 Freshmen in the rotation

Magoon, Compton, and Degourville will be in the rotation IMO

Dutcher will try out different things in ooc but usually by conference time he has a 9 man rotation he largely sticks with. I don’t expect this year to be any different. Also should be noted dutcher doesn’t have concern about boyd’s injury

My early prediction- Top 7 minutes, not in order
Boyd, McKinney, waters, Bird, Magoon, jones, Compton,

BJ Davis and Heidi fighting for spot 8 rotation minutes.

It may take time for this team to mesh which also may mean a need for us to win our conference tourney ? This is a team that could do some real damage in March however

as noted Heide should be in the mix and also think Taj will be in the mix

But would say should know a lot more after they get more practices in
