When SDSU joins the Pac in 2026, does SDSU get to share any revenue related to the departure of the other Pac members? Or does WSU and OSU keep all the money?
And what about NCAA revenue from past Pac-12 NCAA basketball appearances, which I understand are paid out over time?

If Stanford and CAL came back that would be a stunner! Hope it happens.

as of today CAL and Stanford are in the ACC which might still be considered some type of lower level Power Conference
So with CAL and Stanford's ego wonder if they would consider returning to the PAC and the exit fees ?
Have there been any articles about the costs for their other Sports teams this fall other then football ? CAL is on the High after their win the other week At Auburn and what was their TV ratings
did they have to take a lower % to get into the ACC ?

TL;DW: - Beavs and Wazzu pulled off the coup - $52M annually over the next 2 years for Pac - Cal/Stan fans appear happy to come back - ACC are having issues, which are "plentiful" - 1-2 schools away from potentially becoming P5 - Wazzu has a good path to playoffs - SDSU and Boise are "legitimate schools" - Suggests UNLV is a "helluva program" with some issues - Traveling across the country to no fans is not a good look

Have there been any articles about the costs for their other Sports teams this fall other then football ? CAL is on the High after their win the other week At Auburn and what was their TV ratings did they have to take a lower % to get into the ACC ? Here is a quote from an article linking from a Wilner article… It is really bad… “Wilner’s report included the financial state of Stanford’s athletic department as well, and he revealed that the Cal and Stanford athletic departments combined had an operating shortfall of $37.6 million for the 2022 and 2023 fiscal years. And the real story is worse than that because that number included direct university support. If the direct university support was removed from the equation, the combined operating shortfall was $46.9 million in fiscal year 2022 and $75.8 million in fiscal year 2023, according to the report.” Now they are locked in at $11m per year in Media and have increased their costs substantially… the $11m is down about $35m to $40m vs what they got in their last full P12 payout… I don’t know how it is sustainable… their revenues are ~70% of what they got in the P12 and their costs will be about 115% higher… they will have to cut somewhere…

I expect that OSU/Wazzu are using the future payments from the NCAA units to offset costs associated with brining on MWC schools.

The six schools signed Grant of Rights so it’s possible.
