I'll always remember Hoke's forgettable first season, his second season got him the Michigan job. We're a year away with Lewis getting this thing going. Oldie Out Love your optimism- but this is completely different vs when Hoke stepped into his first year. |

Actually, it is not. We have players that are talented, but they are not well coached. The plethora of penalties are not due to a bad OL...it is due to poor coaching. I have heard your 5 year rebuild nonsense before. You used the same bullcrap during the Tom Craft and Chuck Long era on Aztec Talk. People on the board try to convince you that both of those coaches were lousy, but you kept spewing it would take 5 years to rebuild the program. Of course, in both cases you eventually admitted both of those coaches were no good. It just took a couple of years for you to admit it. Now is no different. We have talented players currently on this squad. No way it should take 5 years to be playing for a championship. Like I said last week, if it takes 5 years we have the wrong head coach. Not correct Wrong. It is correct. |

I’m thinking these refs are just very trigger happy. We have some of our own bonehead penalties but I don’t think it’s as bad as the box score suggests. These refs are just calling everything, on both sides.

I think it's more that Lewis does not have the players to run his system on offense and the players that are here do not understand his system This is just NOT working right now! Three new starters on the O-Line this year. Where do you suggest he get the type of players he needs, recruiting HS players that run the no huddle or get transfers from other colleges that run the no huddle? I think whoever he recruits will still have to learn his system and it will be new to them also. |
