Plantar faciatis? Ouch! I've had that. It took 18 months to completely heal.
(I had it in one foot, it started to go away and then the other foot got it - 9 months per foot. Not fun - it felt like my foot was broken when I'd get out of bed or got up after sitting for more than a half hour!)
I hope they can get this under control before the season starts. That's a nasty, painful problem.

That's a nasty, painful problem. I had it too while in the sandbox back in 90. It hurts a lot, but after you're warmed up it kind of goes away until you stay idle for a little bit. Then the pain returns. It took forever to go away for me. As long as he can keep it warmed up and loose he should be okay.

He'll probably load up on pain pills, seems like that's the thing to do these days.
