Thats the issue, we were NOT outmatched. His play calling and penalties (of which he needs to own outright) killed us.

Thats the issue, we were NOT outmatched. His play calling and penalties (of which he needs to own outright) killed us. This week we play a team that uses the 425 with a lot of cover two. Will the ball coach throw into the underneath where the corners have rolled up waiting for the short pass, will he try the long ball with the safeties rolled back waiting for the pass, or does the ole ball coach remember that cover 2 calls for MOFO - middle of the field open HILO - need to drive the safeties as high as possible and then break it back for separation on the outer 3rds.

Said Lewis: “The inefficiencies that we had offensively because of my play-calling, the plan that I put in place, I need to do a better job with that as we go forward, so that we’re not putting as much stress on the whole organization, particularly on the defensive side of the ball.” via EuuuuuuuuT
Accountability is a nice change.

We were absolutely overmatched, the offensive line got dominated How so? The offensive line clearly made a lot of mental mistakes, but penalties/turnovers in football are often the result of getting whipped physically. What surprised me was how our d-line hung in there so well.

2.9 yards per carry doesn't sound like a good day for run blocking. Stats can be deceiving, go back and watch the tape and you will see that the line did just fine. Cooper was 13 carries for 53 yards 4.1 average. Armstead was 7 carries for 18 yards 2,6 average Oneil 5 carries for 1 yard (including loss of five on the sack) for a .2 average. The line actually did just fine on pass protection as well. They were far from dominated.
