“Great bonds are formed under heat and pressure” -Sean Lewis & Aztecs aim to regroup vs CAL after Oregon State. What is formed under 15 penalties?

Watching these growing pains is worse than watching that 80s show Growing Pains
I couldn't stand Kirk Cameron

“Great bonds are formed under heat and pressure” -Sean Lewis & Aztecs aim to regroup vs CAL after Oregon State. What is formed under 15 penalties? The numbers are a bit inflated. The refs were trigger happy. Cal had just as much penalties. There were some blatant holds on both sides, yes, but most were on the refs. False starts are on us, but comes with a young squad and new qb. It throws the timing sometimes.

Epic farts are also produced under the same conditions of heat and pressure … guess that would make it more of a groin pain…

Floundering and flopping badly against mediocre "Power" teams, can never be offset by myriad wins against FCS teams.

I'm hoping that being a member of the NuPAC may help things over the long run.

Is the MLS team to play in Snap Dragon a done deal? The admin better hope so since our football is just a supplemental revenue producer the way they're going.

But we weren't expecting "growing pains" induced by the "coaches".

offense is too predictable. easy to tell when the run or screen is coming. our receivers give it away.

have to eliminate most of the penalties
yes the MLS team is a definite done deal - have already set up a school for young talent - signed some big time players - will be naming their HC soon
Have a "GM "
when will they be starting to pay rent for their games ?
Their season starts early 2025

AztecFast is a dumb gimmick. Just huddle, use the playclock and make sure your people are set when you snap the damn ball.

Oldie Out That's the reason I don't think much of Lewis as a head coach This is his offense and yet after spring ball, fall camp and three freaking games, his offense still can't run properly without procedure penalties mucking it up to become Aztec Slow. You'd think if this program had growing pains, this would definitely not be one of them since this is literally the thing he hangs his hat on.

AztecFast is a dumb gimmick. Just huddle, use the playclock and make sure your people are set when you snap the damn ball. Oldie Out This is my big problem. Tempo alone isn't an offensive philosophy. Various coaches (Jones, Leach, Briles, Kelly, etc.) used tempo as part of a scheme, but defenses have adapted and aren't surprised by up-tempo offenses anymore so now it really just comes down to scheme and execution. Seeing the play clock running down while the players are out of position and the ref is pushing Lewis to get off the field was bringing back memories of Hecklinski. If the players aren't ready to run the offense at the tempo Lewis wants, run it at the tempo they can handle and speed up later.

Oline was mentioned, something is off-sink between the QB and the center. team needs to get the snap count cadence down. i realize its harder in no huddle, but these kinks need to be worked out. IMO Cal's LB's figured out the snap count towards the end of the 1st quarter. It could be the signals that were being used were compromised.

Oldie Out If they looked like the Oregon Ducks under Chip Kelly, it's not a gimmick... or maybe it's a gimmick that really works. AztecFast IS just a gimmick. It's a clever marketing name. Most every new offensive-minded head coach I've seen all over the nation the past decade that runs a high tempo offense usually comes in and you see vast improvements and increased scoring immediately. Lewis? Not.
