Cal has a really good secondary; I don't see how we keep it this close unless the O figures a few things out or the d creates 4 to's.

I hope you are right, but CAL had 3 ints against Davis and 4 ints against Auburn. Buchanan is a UC Davis transfer LB and he is a menace shooing gaps for sacks and tfl. He has made it very easy for the back 7. Cal's offense is more tiled to passing, but they try to keep it balanced. State has a tall task. WSU is another team that looks very good as well. |

Maybe Danny O'Neil throws enough INTs to get benched this game because he's going to throw into a secondary with a lot of INTs this season.
He's going to throw a lot of inaccurate deep balls into double coverage because he rarely checks down from the first read and his deep balls aren't very accurate. Plus, holding penalties will negate a nice first down run putting the Aztecs behind schedule which would allow for more of these God awful throws since Lewis doesn't run screen passes to make up chunk yardage.
Or maybe Lewis will just have O'Neill run out the clock again with 4:38 in the game and the Aztecs down 21 again

As you know I follow Cal also and we won’t cover that. Strong passing and run game with good D. I think Cal is going to be looking ahead and feeling themselves after beating Auburn. SDSU will be pissed and come out strong. I don’t think sdsu will win but will cover 15. |

One of the DBs for Cal is out for the first half due to targeting against Auburn. Doesn’t really matter because our WRs don’t start catching passes till the 2nd half.

O'Neil is already wearing a knee brace, better get Duffy to warmed up if our true frosh QB gets banged up.
I'd also let the run set up the pass this time. Our running game is much stronger, if you let it be.

Duffy doesn’t even get practice reps with the #1s or #2s anymore The point spread opened and still is SDSU +17.5 |
