Freshman are always Freshman. Playing a freshman QB is conceding the season to develop him. Just wish I saw more glimpses of anything to think an undersized QB with an ordinary arm has a very high ceiling. There's a 6'4" QB sitting on the sideline that can make something happen. |

We played hard, but we clearly don't have the talent OSU does. Not sure we will be able to attract the talent needed to play with the big boys given NIL. We will win a few games in league, but not many.

In other news, Boise State just tied # 7 Oregon. UNLV beat Houston last week, who almost beat Oklahoma this week. San Jose State went to Colorado Springs this week and beat Air Force. Buckle up folks we are in for a long year. The good news is the defense looks good. The bad news is the offense looks like crap. Didn't we bring in Sean Lewis to ignite this offense?....I guess not.

Defense deserves a lot of credit for hanging in there. I'm not a fan of the reactive concept we run -- we seemed to be successful when we attacked with blitzes. My only criticism of the players is they take a lot of bad angles and it's hurt them.
The offense has been horrible with penalties and really awful play calling. I'm starting to see why Prime sacked Lewis as OC last year.
