Second 2/8 At CSU then 2/11 At San Jose - not much time to re coup
Third 3/1 At Cowboys 3/4 At UNLV - again not much time between games
First 10 games 5 home 5 road
second 10 same thing But 2 of the back to back road series - also have to play the final 9 games without a break - 9 final games within 29 days
do hope the games AT CSU and 3/1 At Cowboys are Saturday afternoon games so the team can leave that Saturday

agree but it was also important to find out what the start date was going to be for the MW season
also concur about Dutcher adding some games before the Vegas T and the Zags game and then before the start of the MW T

SDSU hasn't finished outside the top-30 in Torvik since 2019. This years' team is ranked #77. But Honestly, it only includes a 24 game schedule (projected at 14-10) and 18 game MWC schedule at 11-7. Adjustments need to be made for a 20-game MWC season and to reflect the 5 games that need to be scheduled an confirmed. Magoon Gwath does not appear in the team statistics.

I have higher expectations from Miles, McK, Compton and Gwath. as of today of the 10 home games 5 are on Saturdays - USU- UNLV- Cowboys- BSU- and Nevada games
Important to also look at what games both home and away are scheduled when schools are on winter break is it those between 12/28 through maybe 1/18- ?

believe that the MW has set up a Tuesday - Saturday schedule for most games AND schools have requested that there be at least 2 full days between games - especially if teams are not able to leave from late night games and teams have difficulty getting on a later that night flight
If that holds then you are correct Saturday games might only be moving to Friday or Wednesday moving to Thursdays ?
Realize that TV pays the bills but it would be considerate if they kept the 2 day spread of games

In the only early-season predictions I've seen so far, we're picked 7th in the MWC. We play @ Boise State 1/4/25. They're picked 1st in MWC. Their students aren't back in school until 1/13/25 We play @ New Mexico 1/11/25. They're picked 3rd in MWC. Their students aren't back in school until 1/21/25 That will help except there is so little to do in Boise and Albuquerque that those places will still have good crowds. But having 9 and 10 more vacation days respectively, before those home games means at least some of the students will miss them. SDSU Finals are over 12/18/24 and we play Cal 12/21/24. SDSU Spring classes start 1/21/25. We have four home games during Winter Break: 12/28/24 Utah State picked 4th in MWC 1/7/25 Air Force Don't need the crowd. 1/14/25 Colorado State picked 6th in MWC 1/18/25 UNLV picked 5th in MWC Most students should be back by then because school starts two days later and they'll be sick of their families way before then. |

Two small positives are: 1) It has us as 3-3 in OOC games which means it expects us to beat either Oregon, Creighton, Texas A&M or Gonzaga. 2) It has us 4th in the MWC but only one game back of the three teams tied for 1st. |
