The last decade-plus whenever teams throw short passes for 3-4 yards vs SDSU, I'm always wishful wondering why the Aztecs can't do this on a regular basis when needed
We finally got a coach who does this!

any follow up on the OL that was injured and thoughts on how well the OL played or depth chart
Great analysis on the Defensive adjustments- did you write ?
when the opponent - went Jumbo backfield - Aztecs counter with Jumbo NT DL - Benjamin- Tuioti- Clay ?
possible pass or run the regular DL - might add an additional DB - Walker
when opponent is third and long - more Edge Rusher s DL of Henderson -Oliver - Badie with White either rushing or dropping into coverage ?
any other subs udes ?
How do you think OL held up and what might the 2 deep look like ?
Take it Lopez will do the PAT and FG 's ? and the kickoffs looked short ?
Commerce was a lower level team - things get much tougher against OSU
on defense what player had the green dot for the coaches to communicate with and also special teams ?

Yep, I lope Lopez handles kickoffs from now on. The other dude, Placentia, just doesn't have the leg to get it beyond the 10-12 yard line. |

Great article. Thanks. I really liked the fact that we would substitute based situation. In the past it looked like we just played our base defense with 2 corners on the field vs. 4 or 5 WR. |

I’m hoping Coach Lewis is better at the transfer portal than everybody else. That is the way you turn things around quickly.

If you don't like the portal, need to get our of coaching at D1. I think unlimited transfers are a joke, but that is the world we live in. |

on the offense there is an article that the WR coach is using the Tablets on the sidelines to show his WR's as they come to the sideline what things they may need to be doing in the future
The importance of the WR's at least getting in front of a defender to assist a fellow receiver in getting more yardage - it sure helped on one of the plays that enabled a receiver to get a TD
Coaches are using the tablets - it sure beats verbally trying to tell a player he should do this or that - Picture sure beats a 1000 words or the white boards
So Paul what would you say are the players that the defense in the various situations
same for the OL and WR's ?
Solve the poor kick offs - might they recruit a SDSU soccer player ?

I don't think they'll have any trouble recruiting a kicker after Araiza and Browning's success. |
