All it means is later start times and pushing back the beginning of the season two weeks.

In the '80's we used to practice in full pads twice a day in fall camp. The temperature for our afternoon practices was regularly over 100 degrees. I know this because there was a bank sign with the time and temperature at the end of the freeway off ramp we used to get to the school. We didn't get extra water. We got our regular water breaks and sometimes if we were messing up we had to skip a water break.
Everything is a crisis now. There is no 1 to 10 scale, everything is a 10. It's California. It gets hot inland in August. Kids have been playing football in hot weather for decades and they are all fine.
My take is that back in the day when we didn't have air conditioning our body's adapted to the heat. Now everyone sits in a 73 degree house and then goes out into the 100 degree heat and the body isn't accustomed to the heat.

You're not wrong, but at the same time if people are no longer accustomed to the heat, don't you accommodate them?
