I see a posted line of Aztecs -34.5 which surprises the heck out of me. Win by 35 to cover? I guess the market is already considering the “Aztec Fast” offense.

Wow that’s high. We haven’t beaten anyone by 35 pts in 7 years. I’m not touching that line.

It's a 1-9 Commerce team that played an FCS schedule and was trounced. The skill and talent gap should be vast.

I'm thinking this is the ideal opener. No way in hell we lose, but the W won't be pretty either. Lots of kinks to work out with the change in Coaching philosophies.
This season will be a work in progress. Six wins will be remarkable.

O/U 54 -34.5 State?
They are calling for 44 - 9.5 state w. Seems rich for an o/u and spread.

2023 I remember the same comments (also the fevered pitch from the Twinkies relating to shade) about:
Ohio Idaho State

My Kool-Aid prediction is....
Offense: O'Neill is savvy beyond his years Vastly improved OL More talented WRs Still deep RBs group
45 Good Guy points
Defense: DL has talent and creates pressure LBs stop the run game Experienced DBs have 2 INTs
10 Bad Guy points

We wont cover the spread. Fire Brady Hoke along with Hecklinski. Oh wait we did that already. Bring back Horton as OC.

First game with a new system. I figure we pull this one out by a score of 21 to 20.

I can see by the Coryell bylines it's going to be a long road to tow. He was at another level. That'll never happen again. I passed by SD College Heights where I grew up and it must be opening semester the campus was packed . And the girls, I'm too old for this.🤣

Just passed by Hewlett today, checking out the old digs. I lived on Drover Dr. Then I rembered that Canyon crossing to get to Hardy Elementary from Hewlett. I couldn't seem to find it, but I think I saw a covered walkway tucked in between 2 homes heading to the canyon. Man has that area grown. I remember Aztec Bowl way before Viejas arena. Had some fun flag football games there. Great memories watching Coryell develop the great line of QB's. Rod Dowhower(Philly), Dennis Shaw(Buffalo), Don Horn (Packers), Brian Sipe(Browns).
