-The Big12 could pick up SDSU and UNLV and gain a serious amount of eye's in SolCal/Southern Nevada/Arizona and would make for a great regional rivalry, along with the 2 Utah schools.
-This would also put a serious hitch in the PAC's Getty-Up!
-The largest amount of eye's up in the Pacific North-West are more focused on the University Oregon and the University Washington not OSU or WS and if anybody thinks that the Big12 would want to compete with the BIG10 for viewership with this setup is smoking some good stuff (sdsustoner any info?)
-Big12 gains very little adding OSU and WS and would never gain much on UO or UW in viewership and would cost a seriuos amount adding them.
-Would make for a very strong Western region with inviting travel from other areas (San Diego and Las Vegas travel destinations)
-SDSU and UNLV are programs on-the-build and have pretty stable looking futures that just need a hand up to really see their true potential.
But who am I ?, just a psoter jacked up on Mt Dew (day drinking again) now back to work!
Go Aztecs!

It would also give the BIG12 locations for Southern Cal and LV recruiting which ain't nothin'. To get into a basketball conference like that would be the biggest wet dream of my life. And at my age, I'll take anything I can related to that experience.

A Big 12 Western division of SDSU, UNLV, ASU, U of A, BYU , Utah and Colorado would be sweet.

And at my age, I'll take anything I can related to that experience. With the new FOX/ESPN Big XII contract, I am pretty sure that the networks will only pay for P4/5 schools for full share in expansion. Meaning is unlikely they will add any G5s, until the ACC lawsuits are finalized. Its predicted that the ACC/Clemson/FSU legal battles will go through the 2024 & 2025 seasons, into 2026, with little happening until then. ACC additions, are a much greater priority rather than the PAC2 & Western G5 schools. Its important to point out the MWC TV rights ends 2025/26 season. It looks more likely that the PAC2 may rebuild rather than wait for a Big XII offer, given that they are on an NCAA timeline, and will lose some of the 'PAC war chest' is they also leave the conference.

would guess that the Big 12 sees how things are going to go with all their new members -
there is no rush for the Big 12 to do anything
unfortunately with MW teams playing on CBSSN not sure the TV audience numbers get corrected accounted for
ESPN and ACC will have discussions in February
Have to remember it is TV Viewers numbers that count the most for the Networks
So for this season SDSU has to do what it can to show what attendance numbers are and possibly even more important find a way to show the TV Viewers that are watching SDSU football

A Big 12 Western division of SDSU, UNLV, ASU, U of A, BYU , Utah and Colorado would be sweet. Pros & Cons Pros: Allows for a solid West Coast Prime Big XII broadcast window on Friday & Saturday nights Cons: Its cheaper for the networks to maintain and extend the MWC or pay a very reduced rate for a PAC2 rebuild than add the Aztecs & Rebs at a partial share of the Big XII contract. TV Coverage: Solid TV coverage for the western US: Denver, SLC, Tucson, Phoenix, plus San Diego & Las Vegas. Those are meaningful markets, ratings would need to increase for the networks to buy off on this scenario.
