What a difference a couple Majors make. The NBC promo for tomorrow's final round wasn't accompanied by a picture of Rahm or Rory or Scottie. It was one of Xander. His Q score has gotten huge. Deservedly so, since he's had a phenomenal year. |

Rahm looking like the old John Rahm, is 3 shots ahead of Xander and two others (Matsuyama and Fleetwood) after 8 holes. Rahm just made a miraculous par save on 8 and Xander missed a 5-footer for bogey.
Xander's only -1 today while Rahm and Matsuyama are -4. Rahm is -18, Xander -15.

Xander now in 4th @ -15 with Fleetwood and Matsuyama @ -16 and Rahm @ -19.
Xander is uncharacteristically missing putts and missing fairways.

Xander 5 shots back with 8 holes to go. But he's just 1 shot behind the medal (Fleetwood and Matsuyama) but there are also three guys 1 shot behind him, including Rory and Scottie.

Xander butchering Par 4 #12. Off the tee into deep rough on the right of the fairway. Hits it from there to the deeper rough on the left. He's going to need a miracle shot. Too bad because Rahm found a bunker then the rough too.
They both bogeyed.

Xander fading fast, just missed the fairway again. He's in a 4-way tie for 4th with Rory, Scottie and Perez. Fleetwood has tied Rahm at -18 with Matsuyama third at -17.

Or, he was due to have a bad round as he's played so well the last few months? |

Xander finishes in a 5-way tie for 9th place @ -12 after shooting a final round 73 (+2).
Scheffler shoots a 62 to win the Gold by 1 and seal the Player of the Year award over Xander.
Rahm had a 4 shot lead with 8 holes left and he finished in a tie for 5th after shooting 5 over par in those last 8 holes. LIV's 54-hole tournaments will inevitably be brought up again when another LIV guy fades in a 4th round.
