He must not know that Volleyball is a Division 1 sport, or didn't bother to look at National Champions from the early 70s.

Actually, we do have 3 National Championships in football. 1966, 1967, 1968. Granted they are College Division Championships (equivalent to Division 2 or 3 today) and based on the AP and/or UPI polls not actual playoff games. But, back then the polls were how the National Championship was decided. |
