I don’t know that it matters much. It seems very unlikely in the current environment that he would play his senior year here.

Unless we get some kind of NIL donor miracle he will probably leave after this season if he has a big season. It’s good for him personally cause he has an extra year of earning potential but I don’t think it makes much difference for our team.

That senior year is now one year further away And him getting that 1 more year makes him even more valuable to get poached. A big (and paying) program would get him for 2 years instead of 1. If Byrd has a good year, he will draw interest. And if those schools offer up the money that we can't come close to, he will be gone.

per Dutcher via Zeigler 's article in UT - this team is one of the younger SDSU teams
there will be a lot of on the job training for the players
this team will be more vocal then other teams - Bryd has already been seen as one of them as will Boyd and others
They have been picked by a Nevada Website to finish #7 in the MW -
The guys have changed their team huddle chant to 1 -2- 3 Dawgs to show their grit and fight

That is some serious disrespect to a program with a winning culture second to nobody else in this conference! I think Coach Dutcher will surprise everybody this year, 25 wins.

I agree. I could see a rocky start to the season with the team trying to mesh but by the time The Conference opens we should be pretty good. We will be younger than usual but we will have more see and more scoring options than usual.

If Compton is ready and Magoon can swat some shots, they should compete and take the MW. Another tournament run is in the cards.

I'm not sure how to define a "wing", but I think it's usually considered an athletic a small forward. It's hard to beat the 2012-2013 lineup of X. Thames, Tapley, Quinn, Jamaal, Shepard, and Polee. JJ O'Brian was on that team too. Recall that was a very good team upset by Florida Gulf Coast in the Tourney. And it's really hard to beat the 2019-2020 lineup of Flynn, Feagan, Pullium, Mitchell, and Arop. Not sure Wetzel and Keshad qualify as wings, but they often played like one.

I think the offensive sets will not be center centric without LeDee. Outside of Waters, I'm concerned about the shooting.

A seventh-place finish in the MWC? That's bonkers. The last time SDSU finished 7th in the conference was in the 2000-01 season, Fisher's second year. Whoever voted on this needs to cut back on the ayahuasca.
