I'm surprised by the things you were Shaw holding off all comers at WR, Josh Hunter not starting and the same with Cody Moon.

But i know Chambliss & Letuli are really high on the linebacker list. Both transferred in for a purpose and are physical specimens. Cody Moon is adding weight for a reason. But his experience will be vital if the defense can improve from last year. As for Shaw, he's just a tough kid. From a walk on to top of the depth chart last year, so i dont underestimate his work ethic.

When the Aztecs have a strong defensive line, their defense is generally going to be top 25 caliber. SDSU always has plenty of talent in the defensive backfield and at linebacker. They just need a few bad boys upfront to handle the offensive line to allow safeties and linebackers to make plays.
I am very encouraged to hear that the offensive line is getting rave reviews. I like what the Aztecs have done with transfers in the wide receiver position, and I am very excited to see the running back from Kent St compete with Criston, Armstead and Sutton. After watching Sean Lewis‘s offense in action, whoever the quarterback is generally takes some hits, so depth will be important. Duffy will probably start, but Crum, Johnson and O’Neill could see some playing time this year, hopefully during a few SDSU blowouts.

The QB Depth issue is a big reason why i never really liked the whole running QB style of offenses. But come to think of it, even during the Jeff Horton days of the traditional pro style, each year our QB would get banged up despite handing off more often than dropping back. Its just a part of the game. I'm not sure the offensive line is necessarily getting rave reviews. More just James optimism. But agreed on the defensive line...that was the biggest drop off last year and the entire defense suffered from it. Can they stop the run this year? Thats the big question.
