i really hope we have at least one >40% 3-pt shooter this year. That would really open everything up down low for our big men. At least one? Sure why not. But shooting over 40% from three is rare. Last year, only 35 players in all D1 (355 teams) shot over 40% from three; and 42 players in DII (304 teams) and 35 players in DIII (432 teams). Yes, it's rare but last year two DI TEAMS shot over 40% from 3, Kentucky and Purdue and another 4 teams shot over 39%. So 10% of DI teams had a guy shooting over 40%. No reason we can't be one of those 10%.

High 30%'s potential Boyd, Reese and possibly Byrd depending on his discipline. And don't count out JCJ, career 38% from three (23 of 60)

Despite our losses, I am more excited and have higher expectations for this years team. The transfers are solid. The incoming Frosh and RS Frosh are the best ever. Am eagerly expecting big years from Nick, Reese, and Byrd. I love what I've heard about Magoons athleticism and shot blocking abilities. However, I hope he beefed up to 205. Post play in the MW is not for the sleight of frame
My only concern was not landing a rebounder in the Portal. Hopefully, Heide takes a big step a quashes my concern.
I can see grounds for another Sweet 16 run. Hopefully, the Elite Eight.

We did land 6'10" 240lb Post-player Jared Coleman-Jones, otherwise known as JCJ, last season at Middle Tennessee 33 games, 28.5 minutes, shot 45%/42%/77%, and averaged the following 11 PPG, 7.6 RPG, 1.1 BPG & 2.3 APG. At 40minutes JCJ averaged 10.8 rebounds per game, at 100 possessions he averaged 16.2 rebounds per game. I feel pretty good about a combo of JCJ + Heidi with both Shay and Goon supporting. Don't count out Pharoah Compton either he can turn on "beast mode."

it sure seems that players that transfer from non P6 schools are not able to get the same stats when they transfer from their school and then have to play SDSU's schedule the competition is a major difference
Toss in the fact that players coming in to SDSU are required to play a much stronger defense that means a lot more running while on defense that tires their legs and affects their shooting
go back and look at the stats for Matt Bradley - yes he played on a PAC school but a world of difference as he tried to play defense and it hurt his shooting stats and even time on the court - so would not expect the same type of production
also noted in a UT article the other day - that during the practices going on now Dutcher has said he is letting the guys play more free lance so the staff can evaluate what style of offense will be put in place after the staff decides what style might work the best for this combination of players - have the offense fit the players instead of forcing a certain style of play the coaches might have wanted to play
