Outside of Gwath and Majak... I am digging the height/weight ratios of our newcomers (assuming the info is accurate)... especially Pharaoh, Taj and JCJ.

I think he'll be beefed up at least 10-15 lbs when school starts in the fall.

Can the school afford some Wheaties or Powerbars for Gwath and Majak?

Bryd 6'7" 185 lbs.
BJ Davis 6'2" 165 lbs.
Waters 6'6" 212 lbs.
also changed Boyd to 175 lbs.
so there are a variety of sizes and abilities / skills for the coaches to work with

Yes, but if you compared them with last year's roster, you'd see they're the same heights and weights. They haven't updated them yet.

After watching him in a couple Swish games, I think Taj makes the rotation. He's a big guard and can do a lot of things.
I'm still very surprised Demarshay came back. Can't imagine him getting much playing time this year.

Can't imagine him getting much playing time this year. Did some quick math, we return 21.5% of total points from last season, or 78.5% of points have moved on (graduated / transfer) and the current roster averaged 16 points of the 74 point per game average of the 23/'24. There is a huge hole to fill when it comes to buckets, layups, put backs. Any thoughts on starters, depth charts, and where the additional 60 points a game comes from? My gut tells me we could average between 72 to 78 PPG based on a 10 man-rotation: Totally rough break-out, seat-of-the-pants, no algorithms, no science, pure emotion: Byrd - 14 Reese - 10 Boyd - 10 JCJ - 8 McK - 8 Compton - 6 Heide - 6 Goon - 6 Taj - 5 BJ - 4 Shay - >1 Walk on - >1Est 72 to 78

I know he supposedly came here to learn how to play defense better but I think he also came here hoping to fill LeDees void a bit. Move Taj up to at least 8. I think he'll average a couple steals a game and score in transition. I think Waters is a huge potential piece but also a huge question mark after he disappeared after his injuries. At the beginning of the year, he was money. I expected just about every shot to go in. By the end of the season I assumed none of them would. If he returns to his early-season form, we could have a helluva backcourt. I'm anxious to see how many rebounds a game Heide gets with more floor time. He was the only guy on the team with more offensive rebounds than defensive and if he can make a few more bunnies than last year, I think he'll score more than 6 ppg.

I think you need to add an increase in Byrds production in that he should/could be a main player this season, he has that kind of potential. The combo of Bryd, Waters and now Taj is a nice looking group of shooters from outside.

i really hope we have at least one >40% 3-pt shooter this year. That would really open everything up down low for our big men.

i really hope we have at least one >40% 3-pt shooter this year. That would really open everything up down low for our big men. At least one? Sure why not. But shooting over 40% from three is rare. Last year, only 35 players in all D1 (355 teams) shot over 40% from three; and 42 players in DII (304 teams) and 35 players in DIII (432 teams).
