The only real back-up Center on their roster behind Wembanyama is 6'10" 230lbs Charles Bassey, who'll be 24 in October. He was a 2nd round pick by the 76ers 3 years ago and has been with the Spurs the last two years. Looks like he doesn't shoot much but pretty good on D.

I would guess it was more Charlotte not resigning him than Nate leaving on his own but it could be the other way too I suppose.

I hope he can stick with the Spurs. Coach Pop had a good run with another former Aztec a few years ago.  |
