TNT adds sports rights from Mountain West

Its official the NBA announced this afternoon that Warner Bros/Discovery, the parent company that owns TNT Sports and broadcasts Inside the NBA, failed to match offers from Amazon, which bid on the up-for-grabs rights to broadcast NBA games. Nevertheless, TNT holds the rights to broadcast games through the 2024-25 season under the previous contract and will challenge the NBA & Amazon deal in the courts.

One official statement reads: On July 24, 2024, the NBA officially announced an 11-year media rights deal with ESPN, NBC, and Amazon, marking the first time since 1989 that TNT was excluded from the league's national media deal. 

WBD & TNT will have a huge hole in programming, sports content, commercial ad inventory and production facilities, they will have to replace these holes with something after the 2025 season.

Since I don't get TruTV, I'm hoping these games get moved to TNT!
